I just super love Jack, our bumblebee. He is a little skittish even with the kids playing with him all the time. He is just a nervous kinda chap. But, he's one to strike and wrap within a second of the rat hitting the tub floor. Everytime. No fasting spells for this one. And his colors just get better and better after every shed.
Here he was as a baby right after first shed:
And here he is now:
Sweet as candy. |

What a stunner!! His temperament sounds fairly standard as far as Royals go. |

His sister was a lot cleaner than he is. I had her adopted out to a breeder who planned on doing wonderful things with her. I thought a clean, stunning bee like that would have to be bred out. Unfortunately, she died 7 months after she left my home. I actually just found out about it recently after I inquired about her. I was devastated.
This is part of the reason I'm trying out my hand at breeding again this year. I know I have really great quality royals that can only enhance the pool.

I know he is a Bumblebee because i remember your post and threads about your breeding and leaving the eggs with the mother. However as stated above he has the head of a Killerbee, stunning example you have there. |
