Ok, so my hatchies still arent feeding. Iv tried scenting with tuna (a trick from snakebytestv), putting them in a smaller tub with the prey overnight, changing the type an size of prey, just normal drop feeding in their rub, heating the head... and at one point I assisted because I am starting to panic. Anyone else know any more tri ks to get a hatchie munching? |

Your not alone, from what i`ve seen on other forums there has been an abundance of difficult feeders this year. I still have a Pinstripe female born in August that just point blank refuses everything, even puts up a fight with assist feeding. I spoke to a large breeder a couple of months ago and he told me he`s had ones go for 8-9 months before they suddenly go on their own. Just keep going with assist feeds. The other ways will stress you out more with the frustration. |

thank god, thought I was a hatchie biff or something! they don't fight much when I assist. got a strike out of the bee earlier but she missed and then started corkscrewing and didn't give me much after that. how long will hatchies go without eating without causing themselves harm do you think? cheers for the reply mate. |

Absolutely no idea, suppose it depends on their weight. If they are taking assist feeds without any problems then keep that going, they will get the idea eventually. |
