Not a pleasant morning this morning when I discovered my eldest was not in her viv. Certainly a good way to wake you up pretty smartish !
To my amazement found she had pushed out one of the air vents at the back viv and somehow got through - we're talking a gap less than 1 inch high for a 4.5 yr old royal. They must sure be able to get themselves flat !
Anyway, the good news is that Annie is the most sociable of my snakes and is therefore rubbish at hiding. Was just about to start ripping the house apart when I spotted her leaning out from a bookshelf (I swear with a big smirk on her face).

An escapee is something I've never experienced (touch wood) but i think i must have ocd where my snakes are concerned as if i have been in any of there vivs i always make sure they closed properly with the locks locked i think its more the fact to keep my kids out rather than the snakes in lol but when my boa gets big i really wouldn't want her to escape with the misses cats in the house lol would realize we have a missing cat them find her in a corner with a big bulge in her sides :( i would hate for that to happen so i always double sometimes evan triple check there enclosures are closed and locked up :)
