Hi guys and gals, with my first 2 royals, nelson and nyoka, I kept them both in a double stack type viv, and both of them used both hides. Now I have Kei and have decided to keep her in a RUB till she is established as she us only tiny for her age, I have provided her with two hides and the biggest bowl I can fit in, but she chooses to wreck her hides and sleep in the open, does any body else's royals do this? She's still feeding etc so not worried, just inquisitive as every care sheet I've read says they will use at least 2 hides, but she chooses to use none. |

I only provide one hide for my guys in their RUB's, I find that the RUB's goffy plastic itself acts as a hide and helps them feel safe enough to not worry too much about secondary hides. |

Same here, some of mine won`t even use a hide, they will always go under the paper. Care sheet is only a guide all Royals are different. I have one young Male who i get out every evening and sit him on the arm of the sofa, he sits there for an hour confident as anything looking around. |
