Hi everyone as this is going to be my first season breeding i thought it was about time i bought an incubator :) was just going to make my own from a polly box but thought by the time i got the heat mat and stat i might be cheeper buying a proper incubator so done a bit of shopping arround and found the lucky reptile herp nursery and read a few of there reviews they seem to be quite good so found this

They seem to go for the sam price of £120 every where but i also fount this in a maplin store

So from what i can se they are literally exactly the same as the lucky reptiles 1 at half the price and no stucker :) so decided to go ahead and buy it :) has any1 used these or had any experience with this style incubator ? All help and input would be much appreciated thanks in advance

one thing i remember reading about these is the digital temp display isnt quite correct so best to use a separate digital thermometer inside.

whilst they do look identical the one from maplin states it weights 7kg compared with 4.5kg for the herp nursery the mapling one also states the maximum reccomended time for continuous use is 10 hours

Ive had it running for over 24 hours now on the night time setting and there has been no problems what so ever no heating up with the motor it seems fine and yea i did put my own digital temp probe in the middle of it and the temp is 3 degs lower than it says on the built in digital temp sensor im gonna leve it run for a week or so to make sure the temps stay steady and make sure there are no problems :) evan when i search the production number on the item itself it allways finds the lucky reptile 1 first so far it seems to be good enough at half the price :)
