hi my snake sid keeps making hissy sounds i dunno if i should be alarmed or not..shes in relatively good health just whenever we get her out she makes a puff kind of noise and its quite worrying....

can anyone help us :(

she is saying leave me alone...

mine does this on occasion. Mostly wen they are coming in to shed...

mine does it even when she isnt shedding just when shes out of her viv

As long as its only when you first get her out and not a constant thing. No signs of bubbles or mucus around the mouth/nostrills?

yes, check for mucus in the nostrils and mouth because it could be a R.I (respiratory infection).

If there's nothing there it is just a warning and she should stop doing it when she gets more used to being handled.

we do handle her alot and she does it even wwhen shes been out of her viv for a while.theres no mucus or anything around her nostrils

how often are you handling her?

i handle my royal once or twice a week max for around 15 mins each time..

i NEVER handle him before a feed or for at least 48 hours after a feed.
