Been a long week but i finally get to handle Tilly. What is the best way to do it. Just lift the hide of her and pick her up or take the hide of and leave the door open and let her come out by herself.

o i didnt relise she has eaten yet. i wouldnt handle until 2 days after her first feed and then only very minium handerling until she has a coulpe of feeds under her belt
there is no such thing as best but i was like you i feed my snakes outside the viv except my 2 royals they just get too scared and dont eat. but its up to you if you try to.
i would feed in the viv to, but i do it simply because it is safer..
i feed all of my snakes in there vivs, and so far have never had a problem with it... didnt realise you had not fed her yet Remmy...
I would go for a feed first and then maybe a short handle after 48 hours..but really would not handle till she has had two to three feeds, especially knowing how royals can be...
I got Kaz on the 5th May and never handled her properly till the 20th June.
Kayla has so far had two feeds and i still have not handled her yet either..and i wont till she has had three more feeds..
You can get away with it with some royals, possibly older ones, but for me it is not worth the risk of them stopping feeding because they can get stressed real quick from handling..
