Princess again failed to shed fully, the lazy bint stays in her cave and waits for the skin to flake off rather than coming out and rubbing on her log. She had a patch about eight inches long down her back but the rest of her was clear, so I gave her a bath. That worked like a charm! Unfortunately we've had to move out of our house due to building work so a couple of days after her bath she had to move with us. More disruption for the poor wee beastie.
Anyway, she was due a feed last night. I didn't expect much but she struck from inside her cave and missed. Twice. She'd gone proper red mist, her head was out about six inches, coiled ready to strike and she was trembling. No way was I picking that rat up without tongs! Third time she nailed it straightaway dragging her cave forward as she struck.
So, despite being bathed and moved within the last few days she was still wanting her dinner.
