Quick question (planning well ahead here)
If I bought a female lemon pastel and bred it with my male normal, what would the offspring be?
I know the pastel gene is Co-Dom but does it make a difference which way round the parents are, for example pastel male and normal female?
Thanks

50% normal 50% pastel. Those are the odds per egg, so you could get all pastels or all normals.]
It doesnt matter if the male and female were the other way around. |

Thanks Matty,
Exactly what I wanted to know.
Next question. I'm close to ordering a female lemon pastel from Bob Clark (saw on the darkside), anyone have any comments or advice on this, if you know what I mean?

I think if you can buy in the UK, you will find it easier (for the reasons Piers has given). |

You could e-mail: scott@captivebred.co.uk (put the word Python in the subject otherwise his spam filter rejects it). Scott is a very good breeder, however he's usually a bit more expensive that some of the other breeders too. |
