No reason for asking ut just wondering whats the dangers with both?

My temp is steady now at 32.5 if my thermometer is to be believed. Its a digital one yet the old style one from my aquarium says 40!!!and the crappy round reptle one says 26???? so confusing

have you tried to calabrate your thermometeter. if any are water proof (guessing the aquarium one is) get 2 cups fill one with icey water and one with boiling water. the cold one should read -0c and the hot one should read 98-100c depending how your tap water is treated.

too much heat I would say is worse than being a touch cold. A snake can digest at anything over 19c IIRC (royals that is) so as long as you are over that technically all is ok.

Too much heat causes brain damage etc

I agree- too much heat can kill, but if a snake got too cold it would just go into brumation (hibernation)

As above, but if the digital thermometer is reading 32.5C, then you're fine
