kinda hard to know where to start until you tell us what you have got (ie what's in a starter viv)
Rat or mouse pinkie? Mouse pinky would be waaaaaaay too small |

Hi Tim, welcome to the forum;-) Dont panic...it can be rectified if it is wrong
Dont know if you have read it but there is a very good care sheet via this link
http://www.theroyalpython.co.uk/royal_python_care_sheet.htm
OK, i think best place to start is to find out what your set up is like..
Is your royal feeding ok?
Feeding wise ideally a royal at that age should be feeding on a rat pup... |

Hi, yeah as above the more info you can give the better as regards to the set up you have and what you have been told by the place you bought it from. also a full lenght pic of you royal would help judge on its condition if you are worried about that?
have you tired to feed it yet your self? sometimes they will take looker than the average 1week to settle! |

Hi the viv is 50x30x40 aspen bed terrian moss (dampend) under log hide midium size water bowl dial humidity/temp guage (Temp staying around 27) (humidity betwean 50-60) heat mat under aspen covers just under half of viv. Not sure on wattage. She ?? has fed didn't strike just pushed her nose hard onto the mouse pinkie played with it for a couple of mins the just gulped it down in seconds. she is REALLY active always exploring her viv day and night only went to bite me once but didn't. Just want her to be happy here with me she so beautiful to watch. oh she had some skin on her head from her last shed when i got her a week ago sunday but its almost all gone. |

Probably active because she's starving, a Royal will never need a feed as small as a mouse pink. |

Hi Tim, glad you came back, have been thinking about you and you royal today..
Are your measurements in CM's?
you need to ditch the dials and get a digital thermometer, humidity is ok as normal room humidity.
Till you get the digi thermometer you wont get an accurate temp reading.
Are you using any stats with your set up?
As the others have said the prey item is to small she needs to be on at least small rat pups or weaners depending on her weight....

Wooden viv or plastic or glass?
If plastic or glass the heatmat could be better off underneath the viv rather than in it. |
