they can reach around 25-30 foot, sometimes longer and live a long time..
not sure if that is 100% correct though, but i think Dave can answer this one;-)
males i have just been told reach 14-18 foot. |

You would be very lucky to see a male green get to 20', most in captivity seem to stop at around 16-18'.
They are slow growers too, unlike some of the other giants. |

If you expect it to get to 20ft you "shouldn't" be suprised. BUT, a 16ft Green is one hell of a big snake, ALOT bigger than say a 16ft Burm or Retic. |

mmm would it be cool to get tagged by something that big, need 3 adults to move it
were do you put it while cleaning it out. do you want a couple of big rabbits defrosting in your sink.... do you want to clean that mess up after the snake has had 3-6good meals ad then has to poo. |

Stick with a royal and tell people it's a baby anaconda, most won't know the difference anyway!
Seriously though, "because it'd be cool to tell people I've got one" is one of the worst reasons to get a snake, especially a monster one. |
