Now i'm sure i've seen this on here somewhere before but cannot find it now. I'm after a 'how to' on building an incubator.

I'm getting a bit ahead of myself as I do not have a breeding pair yet and the season isn't quite here, but i'm aiming to have rack, breeding pair, incubator and RUBs + Viv's setup and ready for when the time comes. However i'm not interested in buying an incubator as i'm not made of money (who is lol)

If anybody knows the 'how to' i'm looking for, or have made an incubator and could give me some advice, would be much appreciated.

HI mate

You could email a mate of mine who should be able to help. Send an email to waterwondersaquatics@yahoo.co.uk for the attention of Robbie. Tell him that you want to set one up and he might get back to you with how to do it.

I don't think there is one in the DIY section, would be good to have if someone can do a Step-by-Step guide?

Ummmm, yes!?! lol

I really don't know. Its only going to be a little project of mine, so assume the polybox would be more than enough, however ultimately a converted fridge sounds better for the job.

I have been looking on eBay and it looks like you can get an all singing all dancing one for £200, not as bad as I thought, but still more than i'd like to spend. But I assume converting a fridge won't be cheap...

It sounds like you are in the know with this MC, time to share

god no lol, but i have been doing a lot of reading up on it lately and was talking to wohic about how she set up her polybox, and a couple of others about how they converted fridges, if you have intentions of doing a lot of breeding and are relatively good at diy there's a cheap way of doing it with a fridge, but if you aren't planning on many breeding projects polyboxes seem to be the way to go :D

Well it is only going to be a little project of mine to start with so a polybox sounds like the way forward, i'm sure i'd end up with a fridge one eventually tho!!!

Great idea for DIY section.

I have seen converted fridges installed with heat mats and stats to control temperature so if anyone has one and wants to do a step by step guide???
