YES!!!! FINALLY. The time has finally come when I pick my 2 new baby Garter snakes up from cold blooded. I pick them up on wednesday and I'm real excited as I've been looking for chekerd Garters for ages and when I finally saw them I got dead excited and had to have them. My partners getting them for me as a pressie. I have to feed them on just earth worm's at the moment but hopfully with the way there going they'll be on pinkys in no time. When I get them I'll post some pic's and keep this thread as a diary for them.
(Next update usually every 2 days)
Cheers for reading this thread guys and gals Dibzy xx |

cracking snakes, "think" mine will be going off to a local friend/breeder soon (stealing a nice stripe corn in return though)
mine's an absolute pig and would eat daily given the chance, doesn't care whether it's eating mice or rats, which is nice. |

just over 2ft, maybe 2.5ft. She takes medium mice, rat fluffs, basically ANYTHING she can fit in her gob, lol.
Once they are feeding well they are a right laugh, mine will charge out of her viv to get food, quite off-putting if you aren't used to them. |

yeah, keep them on anything you would keep a royal on. They do like water quite a bit if you have the room for a swimming area |

So, time for an update me thinks. Ying and Yang are doing well. I'm feeding them 2nite so hopfully they take to the earth worm. I havernt fed them yet since theyve been home so they have had time to settle in. They seem really happy so far and are always so excited to see us when me and the boyfriend handle them. They need a bit more handerling to calm them down abit but apart from that there all good. |
