hey all! how do i go about running 2 heatmats off of 1 thermostat?
its a microclimate ministat 100
do i just wire both mats into 1 plug then plug it into the stat? |

thats what i do if the set ups and mat size are identical... i also run 2 different size and wattage mats off one stat using a dimmer switch to control the higher wattage mat
careful positioning of the probe and meticulous temperature monitoring is essential! |

| just to add that if the mat without the probe is faulty the stat will NOT cut out so there is a certain element of risk involved and the ideal solution would be to run one heat source off one stat......... |

mmm unfortunatly the mats are diffrent sizes :(
i have the probe inside Igbos warm end hide (its a half coconut)and thermometer probe is in there aswell sitting on top of the kitchen roll. the heat mats underneath cos hes in a faunarium just now :)

| im trying to do it at the moment,just cant seem to maintain temps.The setups and mats are identical but one mat seems to cool faster than the other then when they start up again it all gos pair shaped |
