It is frowned upon, but it is very easy to do and does work in alot of cases. There are dangers, such as cross infection, chance of bullying etc, but in the CORRECT sized enclosures, with enough hides etc it can and does work.
Personally, I wouldn't, just ain't worth the risk to me, but it's personal taste. |

| Syd & sofia are on there own in their viv's, but I've got Tango & Sparkle, Hogan & Shaggy in together with no problems whatsoever, it's your call. Yes there's a risk, but as long as you quarentine them for long enough & feed them seperately, I'm ok with it. |

for me i wouldn't take the rest of letting them live together. Wouldn't want to take the risk of losing a snake to safe on space.
but as others have said it works for them. personal choice and if you are happy with the risks taken. |

Just a couple of points to note...
If you do decided to co-habit them, make sure they are the same size, make sure of there sex's (especially if they are young) as you dont want any breeding when they are to young. Also bear in mind you will probably need a spare complete set up to hand so if any problems do occur, through illness, bullying or one becoming gravid. |

This could really do with being a sticky it comes up that often.
I think this has already been answered, but to add my view it's not worth it. They don't live together in the wild, and apart from the chance of one ending up as lunch when you find a poo in the morning how do you know whose it is? Same if one was to regurge. There was a recent thread on TCS where someone co-habited two corns and only had one in the morning, and I've also come across photos of a boa that was being co-habited with a royal, that ate its housemate. If anything the royal was slightly bigger than the boa but it still came second. The boa then regurged it a couple of days later, thus its health was at risk too. It's probably rare, but the possibility is enough to put me off.

TBH it's not that rare, i know numerous people who have ended up with just one snake.......... and we're not just talking little ones either.......  |

all the above is correct
there are risks (as there is with everything in life), you can limit these risks with some serious revision and studying of the snake.
i know of a snake that wouldnt eat until it was kept with another of its kind, it was suggested that it was due to the different viv but tbh i dont tink it was as they were kept in the same conditions.
to be fair do some reading up about it make sure your very confident you can tell the 2 apart, and then decide wether or not its worth it.
also i do believe that we should have a sticky on this subject as it does seem to come up very often.
i think it needs just the 2 posts, 1 for and 1 against, other wise i think it will just get over crowded with people saying the same thing.
im happy to right the 1 for and someone else to right the 1 against
just an idea
