When did they shed?

Have they got a moist hide?

There are several ways of removing eyecaps.

* Try just popping a moist hide in the viv/ rub (If you don't already have one in there) This may do the job itself.

*Try soaking cotton wool buds in warm water, then GENTLY sweeping over the eye. (you could possibly do this in conjunction with giving the snake a bath as that might help soften the skin, but also may cause undue stress)

*Thirdly you can try the method on the following link:

http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/snakes/363141-alternative-eyecap-removal.html

(I apologise to everyone here if I have made a faux pas by posting this link...but it DOES work very very well)

Not sure if there is anything else you can try...I'm still half asleep :)

You're not rubbing his eyes, they have scales over their eyes (clear ones), hence the need to shed those along with the rest of the scales.

Still, you must be very gentle.
