hi all just wanted to shout about how happy i am as ive just picked up my very first royal python tonight and im so in love with her, its like having another child! lol. i got her from a lady whos son sadly wasnt looking after her anymore ive named her bella, short for arabella and shes just six months old, shes so sweet! i have the day off tomorrow, so while everyones out im gonna have a little cuddle

thats great that your pleased with him but i would just leave him be for a week with no handling,it just gives him time to adjust. |

Handle her by all means but keep it short for the first few times to allow her to settle in, enjoy :) |

I'm with Lee, I wouldn't handle until after at least one feed and the 48hr after the feed to allow digestion. |

I agree with Lee and BE, it really is best if she has a week to settle in and a feed first. I remember how long that week seemed when I first got my two.  |

i also agree let her settle in a while the wwek will soon pass and as they say good things come to those who wait ,enjoy your new snake ,wont be your last im sure of that |

I also agree. Theres another thread on here anout a royal that latched on to its owner and wouldnt come off for a long time. If you handle bella to soon it will be shy and that and might do the same thing. But also as robert said for the 1st 2 or 3 times only handle a short time so nella gets used to you. good luck:) |
