My royal eats his rats head first but I have noticed my Boa eats its rats bum first?

Just wondering is this something all royals and boas do or is it just the way my snakes eat?

Not important just curious?

No, its easier for them all to eat head first. I always superheat the heads to help them 'aim' better.

my royal generaly eats head 1st but somtimes i have noticed it eating from the bum and strugling cause the tails in the way. but i think its just where evers the warmest, just like BE said.

as above. normally head first but one or two occasions were the head went last. which is a very strange thing to see. a rat head sitting in a snake mouth just peeking out to say goodbye LOL

seems like heads the main option but what about my boa going tail first. Is this something all boas do and for any particular reason? it is a baby so maybe lack of experience

I watched a Boa eat one sideways once!

Head first would still be ideal.

I have a baby boa too and she always eats head first.
