if they have only been defrosted for a while then they can be re frozen i think. but if you left it for a number of hours (i dont know, because maybe snakey didnt want to eat it) then i would just chuck it away
i just chuck it away really, but you can re-freeze it, depends how long it been out of the freezer
someone will correct me i think |

yeah i agree with reptile keeper. remember this is a decaying animal so dont put it back in the freezer if it has been out for more than an hour. |

If my two don't strike I leave the food in overnight in case they want it later on. If it's still there in the morning it goes in the bin, I wouldn't want to risk keeping it after eight hours or so in a warm viv. |

but in the wild if a snake came across recently deceased potential food it would use its own judgement as to how far 'gone' it was... (and obviously if it was too far it would pass it by) |

its like tonight for me. I am buying a small rat weaner to see if Boo will eat it. I am also going to defrost two of her mice at the same time. If she does eat the rat then i am going to refreeze the two mice for the pine snake. |

I don't refreeze. If its not eaten straight away, I leave it in ovenight because sometimes they decide to eat it later. If its still there in the morning I throw it away. |
