Aye, so I was in quite late and really needed my bed the other week but Sal needed fed so I popped her fluff in some pretty hot water to defrost quickly...
Never again.
About 3 seconds after she started constricting the rat its head came off... she ate the head then proceeded to pick up the rest of its body by its arse so by the time she was halfway down it there was all kinds of nasty guts spilling out of its neck.
I normally allow it to defrost at room temp for a good few hours then super heat its head, I dont think ill be using hot water again any time soon....

haha lol how hot was the water? i always boil the kettle fill a pint glass up half way with hot water and then the rest with cold it usualy takes 1hr - 1 1/2hr to defrost and it doesnt explode. when i first started keeping snakes i used water sraight out of the kettle and one mices stomach split and a bit of guts came out but no head came off lol
