Hi charlie my first royal, ate for the first time after putting the mice in hot water from the tap took it straight away however i only had one mice left cause he was not eating.Should i try him on say 2 more today,i also want to try and get him on to rats.

I have had him 5wks now and not handled him as took blackecho advice of waiting till he starts eating.He is so docile he shed under his rock took his food under the rock.

Congrats on the first feed.

You can get small rats (Pups and Fluffs) which are similar size to mice. I'd try to switch him over sooner rather than later personally.

Give him 48hours to digest his first feed and then have a quick handle

Thanks blackecho he only had one mice though he approx 2yrs should i try him on another couple today or leave him for a week.
