I've only been to the portsmouth one, but it was basically a hall with lots of tables set up in rows. The tables are "rented out" to sellers, generally people selling their surplus stock but I presume there are some businesses there too. you pay to get in and wander round til your hearts content (or your wallet empty LOL) It's basically a big market. The stall holders are usually very nice and willing to talk to you about anything, normally answering any questions you may have succinctly. Not many of them allow you to handle the stock (stress/infection reasons I would imagine) Though some of them will let you, especially if you are serious about buying or want to check it out closer. It's best to go with a clear mindframe of what you want to buy, so as to avoid impulse buying. You can of course intend on buying no animals and just go to look at them, or learn a little more about them. There is usually a bit of a pub meet up afterwards with various people, if you know anyone else that goes. Hope that helps :D |

Not sure if there is one in Manchester. Donny is the largest in the UK and well worth the trip over tho. |

It was rammed! once the doors opened at the beginging the que moved quite quickley, but inside was packed like sardines! on exit tho like i said the line was huge and i expect they had to wait longer than the ppl there before doors opened as it was looked like a 1 out 1 in procedure, i did see stewards giving people in the que plastic cups and water. Suppose its a good thing tho that it got so much interest but i dont think they expected it to have as many people as there was lol hopefully something they can take on for next year and work on to make it even better, as it was still a great show and i will be going again :) |
