Ok jsut wondering how warm your snake should feel to the touch, hot,warm,cool,cold?

Generally they will be cooler than us, unless they have been lying in the warm end.

Our body temperature is around 37C, so you would expect them to feel cool as they are cold blooded and are in temperatures ~32C.

i have found often that snakes that are being kept warm by heat mats feel warmer to touch than those being kept warm by lamps

i'll second what hodgie said at times morris feels freezing but when he's just come off the mat he's nice and warm to the touch
