You mean thermometer? The dial ones are very inaccurate, just adjust your thermostat until the proper temperature is achieved.

What heat source and thermostat are you using? Any pics of the setup? :)

Do you have a thermostat? If not then you cant change the temperature and youll probably end up with a severely burnt snake. You dont need both a heat lamp and a heatmat either, just one or the other will do 24 hours a day. If you are using a heatmat then a cheap but good quality thermostat is this one:
http://www.netpetshop.co.uk/p-27869-microclimate-ministat-matstat-heat-mat-thermostat-100w.aspx?CAWELAID=437271355

If you want to use the heat lamp all the time then get a red bulb or ceramic bulb, with heat resistant fixings and cable and a bulb guard to stop your snake getting burnt on the bulb, which you can get from the member "reptiles-ink" on this forum for a very good price. You will also need either a dimmer stat (for use on either ceramic bulbs or red bulbs) or a pulse stat (ceramic only) which you can get here:
[Dimmer stat] http://www.swiftpetsupplies.co.uk/microclimate-b1-167-p.asp
[Pulse stat] http://www.swiftpetsupplies.co.uk/microclimate-b2-168-p.asp

Hope this helps
