ive had my royal for 6 days now and he is still hiding away in his hive i have feed him and he did eat it.. should i just take him out of leave him till he is ready??

its so tempting isnt it lol if ur able to look with out disturbing him ?? or just wait and have a look about 11ish at night maybe later when every one is a sleep

ive lifted the hive up and he looks ok he did crul up more think i woke him poor thing..

Bear in mind they are nocturnal animals and try to keep any handling to a minimum for a few weeks and leave it until evening when you do congrats and enjoy your new Royal :)

yeah all be said above. with hatchlings i would leave any handling until they have had 3 or 4 consecutive feeds. giving them a good chance to settle and start to develop a feeding pattern.
