I know there is a hognose forum but im not going to reg just for one question when i can most get it from here.

I am looking after a hognose at the moment for a friend to try and get it too feed.
It's currently a year old and weighs in at just 24g!
He has feed twice for me in the past but was up over 30g and that was a good few months back.
He is active, moves around his tank and constantly tries to escape.
His Husbandry is fine. I have checked all temps and humidity every day and they are fine.
I have tried warming, braining, leaving in over night, bigger feeds, smaller feeds. Feeding every week, fortnight.
Nothing is happening.

I'm kinda at a loss now.
Any suggestions are welcome. Is it worth trying to assist feed?

hiya hun, dont know if i can help but reading thro some of the threads on thehognosesnake forum, kazerella wrote this to a member who was having the same problem; 'Have you tried scenting yet? I put a pilchard in the bag with the frozen pinkies when Wilbur wasn't eating. That worked'

Also some members try to find a reptile shop which will sell them individual frogs legs. yukky i know but if it works!

I only have the prob when frank is goin into shed, sorry cant be of more help.
