Sorry, I really suck at taking pictures. Too much light on these I think.
Here's the cutest looking bumblebee on the planet:
This is his brother, I don't think he's as pretty. Shhh... don't tell him I said that.
They're eating like machines! You have to watch your fingers. We don't use the tongs to feed them because the rat hopper tail is too delicate, we use our fingers. They launch out of the air and grab the rat right off your hand! Really awesome strikers these guys!
The cute one is at 67grams (born at 46 grams) and his brother is at 85 grams (born at 69 grams). Sweet! |

Yeah, it's bright lighting, but yes, they are very light yellow - more pinkish really. The first bee looks like one of my kids' fake rubber snake toys.
They came out of the egg pink. They turned light yellow after first shed. I'm expecting them to get darker yellow as they age, but I'm not sure when that would be! |

Their mom (pastel) hasn't browner out, so I'm guessing these guys won't either.
They've been on 3 sheds now. Still looking like candy. They've gotten more yellow down the back. I'll show pics when the kids get home. |

Thats good to hear. My Bumblebee yellow patches seem to becoming more vivid, although she has the duller strip down her spine with nice black lines, definately improving with age. Eats well which is always a bonus. Grown from 200g - 800g in 6 months |

Here are new pics of both bees. I think I got better with the lighting on this one. It's basically just outside with natural sunlight but I put them in partial shade instead of full bright noonday sun.
The cute one came out to be female and is now 95 grams:
The not so cute one (okay, he's cute too, just not as cute as his sister) just happens to be male and is now 104 grams:
They've become more yellow. Not pinkish anymore. You can see the male is starting to get more "dirty" looking but the female is still clean. I like it. |

3 sheds so far which is mighty interesting - that is 3 sheds since 7/31/2010. I didn't realize how fast they grow at this age. |
