I have a corn that poos after every meal and 6 royals who present me with a dung heap every now and again - that's royals for you despite their feeding habits or should I say non feeding habits lol you just have to love them :) |

Oh boy am I glad corns don't save it up for a few weeks!
I'd noticed Saffron emerging from her hide. Then a minute or two later ... There was this noise. I really thought a pipe had burst. It was like the 1812 overture, complete with cannons.
And as for the mopping up ...give me cat trays any day!
I DO look forward to the time when Shahi's 5 foot in length ... |

I don't know why I named her Saffron.
She wasn't fragrant ... |

Blimey after reading the comments I'm a little worried. I'm getting my first royal next week and he's nearly two so he'll no doubt produce a heap for me. I always seem to pick the smelly ones, my rottie has IBS. It'll be a house of smells! heehee |

Your rottie has IBS?
Reeking havoc! (Poor chap!)
Sounds like you're definitely qualified to deal with a royal. And you know what they say - these things are scent to try us ... |

Hee hee!! The smells tend to find me, I'm a vet nurse (although totally new to reptiles, as you can all probably tell when visiting some we don't get taught anything about reptiles/exotics just 'companion animals'). Where I am they don't treat reptiles at all, they get referred as its a veterinary charity and they don't qualify for treatment as 'companion animals'. I've learnt loads about corns since we got ours so now hoping to get up to speed with royals! |
