got monty out for first time in 5 weeks today as has not feed since i had him for 6 weeks he is around 2.7 ft and weighs 317g's is this ok? seems little underweight to me. This is my first time weighing him. and i know he is deffo a boy as he didnt mind showing his parts

lmao, its more the age, if you know how old he is and how much he weighs, then we can tell, but at nearly 3ft, he seems a healthy weight

Looking at BE's weight age graph (http://www.theroyalpython.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4437) and going by your guestimate on age it looks fine.

Hi, have you seen Blackecho's sticky on age/weight?

He's nearly as big as Saada (Monty I mean, not Blackecho lol!) who is a cf09 - and Saada, although small for her age I admit, is a thriving little thing, couldn't wish for a better little snake!

It's a good idea to keep weighing them and keep a record of weights - their eating's chancy at this time of year of course - but unless he does start losing weight (unlikely in a royal from what I gather) sounds like he's fine.
