Moving house in a couple of weeks and needed some ideas on the best way to transport my snakes. The drive will be about a 40min one. Also shall I plan their last feed for a couple of days before the move as not to upset their tummys??? Any advice would be great. I like to be prepared just in case there's anything I need to get to make this as stress free for them as possible

If it's just royals, yes, feed them a couple of days beforehand so there's no stress, but they're not liable to evacuate like disgusting corns (love them lol ewwww!)

Pillowcases are good, knotted at the top, in rubs. Or rubs with loads of kitchenroll. Depending on the temperature, if it's at all cool I'd provide hotwiter bottles under about a third of the rubs, which is how Surahi travelled to my house in a taxi in the first snow of 2010.

Uhhh, this is very weird, but I've tried to type 'hotwiter' three times now and it keeps coming out as 'hotwiter' - is the former some rude word I don't know about lol?

I SEE - well, I mean a rubber container with hot WATER in it ... weirrrrrd!

They're more laid back than we realise - probably they'll take the move far more calmly than you will. Another good idea is to keep some of their old bedding etc - don't feel you have to clean out too thoroughly for the move, as anything familiar will feel reassuring to them.

Good luck for moving day.

For 40 minutes it will be perfectly warm enough in the car with you, just have the heating on and as BATS says, pillowcase or a small RUB/container.
