Hiya
Had earl out today and sunlight caught him(yip I know what ur all thinking, SUNLIGHT????) lol but anyway noticed a blue sheen on his dard patches especially his head is this a normal thing for a royal ?
I tried to catch it on camera but no luck unfortunately

Got a lovely royal python called earl, a brazilian rainbow boa called zeus, a red tail cross boa constrictor called dorris and an albino burmese python called angel as well :-)

It certainly is - if you go to the homepage on TRP where the pic of the royal is larger, you'll see a beautiful example.
I know what you mean - it's a shock to see them in sunlight - hard to remember it exists ... |

what is this 'Sunlight' thing you speak of? if you mean the big fiery ball in the sky I suspect it's a UFO. we throw sticks at it around these parts! |

They are beautiful and almost irredescent in the right light. Not quite as impressive as a BRB but still beautiful. |

Yeah, Tig has the same, almost rainbow effect to his dark colour, especialy on his head. It's one of the favorite things I like about Royals is that blue oil-on-water effect they have : )
scubadude, yeah I think that's what people mean. We don't have it here anymore so maybe throwing sticks at it worked? |
