I just went to handle Monty. He is being a real grump he has been so relaxed since I got him a month or so ago but he just gave me a big hiss and then went into his hide and hissed again.

LOL - that's snakes - awkward little gits!

Sorry to state the obvious, but he could be preparing to shed - they can be grumpy before they go blue; does his skin look dull or dusty?

Duke told me to Hiss off when he was in blue, its all a big scary bluff act. Don't let it put you off.

He shed last week so I just think he was being a grump. Hopefully he will be fine tonight for a handle. He is all hiss no action when he hisses and hides

Bullet gives me a little hiss when his bum is sticking out his hide and I touch it, makes me laugh and then he sticks his head out as if to say " who you think your touchin??" then he realises its me and wants cuddles
