Its not a good idea to have it on 24/7. ideally if you need it on 24/7 you need a red bulb at the very least but ideally you need a Infra Red bulb. I don't know how you'll go about getting one where you are. Also your using a heat mat, you don't need both.
the heat mat was not enough, it just heat the place under the hide, but the temp in the viv is just 23 C ! so i stoped using the heat mat and replace it with the 100 w bulb

I had a royal python (Blitz) for two years for those who are wondering what I'm doing here with my boa :D
The light is the better option but white light is off putting for Royals, they like it dark and creep around in the shadows. They don't see red light so well and I think they tolerate it more than white, Duke can see the bulb but they see heat with their heat pits so its hard to tell what exactly it is he sees. When I set up the vivariums for the snakes as adults they will all be on ceramic heat bulbs, 4 lit up vivariums ranging from 6 feet long to 4 feet long will be a bit much so they will have a moon light I can switch on should I need to see whats what inside.
yesterday i turned off the bulb and turned on the heat mat, and when i weak up today the temp was 21 c and the humidity was 80% i definitely have to find red 100 w bulb
