What should the humidity be in viv when not in shed. I put a water bowl hot end when she was in shed but have now took it out my humidity gauge now says 80. Cold end 26 hot end 32.7

I beleive between 50 & 60%.. I can't get mine right at the moment either and my temps fluctuate so much it is untrue... I have ordered a new heat mat as the one I am using under the RUB is quite an old one...

Yes, between 50 to 60% is good. 70-80% when in shed.

can you trust those cheap round humidity guages or are they not very accurate?

I suppose they give you an idea but you can't trust the digital ones either, they need to be positioned where they are not in line of sight of the heat bulb and are gain just a guide.

Best way to tell humidity is open the door, you will get slapped in the face by humid air, thats normal, dry air is too dry and condensation on the walls etc is too humid.
