first mouse fluff down the hatch... After trying the leave her to it method, i tred the harrass the hell out of her method, i think to be fair after 3 hours on and off with me dangling it in her face she just ate it to get rid.. hopefully now she has had a feed with me she will have a better idea next time. I am beginning to wonder if the 'breeder' was telling the whole truth about her feeding... she really didn't have a clue........ oh well she has fed now and that is the important thing i suppose... |

Nah - she's just settling in...the breeder won't necessarily have told you any untruths - some snakes do take their time (got a corn hatchling doing just that but she'll get there.)
Great that she's fed for you - congrats! |

I think it is because I am used to Corns, Luna eats like a horse, although still a tiny snake..
Now I have seen her eat in with my own eyes I will be able to chill about it a bit lol |

Hi, Stumpy - I've had this trouble with Shahi - did Zuri grab it midway and then get tangled up with the tail and back feet and then look at you in despair?
Also if he's had a long feeding session but got nowhere it could well be that he's so well satisfied with past feeds that he's just playing with his food, and it could be a good idea to wait 5/7 days just as you would after a refused feed. It won't hurt him to wait and rest a bit.
Feels dreadful, I know - have just enacted this scenario with Saffy, who's returning to feeding after corn mating season. I was daft enough to defrost her a smaller mouse and re-offer after she'd fiddled about with larger prey and spat it out ... no, still refused. I'm trying her again in 10 days' time ...well, maybe 7 ...
