Just thought you might like to see our new snake!
This is our long awaited little Royal called Odin (named by Jack lol)

Jack aged 11 has saved up all his pocket since Christmas, has paid for nearly everything himself and we picked Odin up tonight. After a quick photo shoot Odin is now tucked away in his little home.
We are really happy with the snake and the lovely people we bought him from. Its our 1st ever snake and want to say a big thanks for all the advice I have been given. xxx

I know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok, they know me in here.

aww he looks so cute, and your son seems very happy with him and hope he has many happy times with him. just gotta wait now for the week break (or until the royal eats) till he can handle again, although if hes waited months for him then a week or couple is nothing lol

Thanks for your comments. Jack is going away on Monday for 5 days on an outward bound residential trip with primary school so Odin will be left in peace until he gets back. Its good timing really. We had to take him out of his tub to put him in the faun and Jack wanted pics to show his mates and take with him (didnt want pic of his parents or siblings lol just his snake!!! ha ha ha)

Congrats he's a lovely snake just one question if he's living in a faunarium are you managing to get and keep the right temps ok? oh and you may find raising the humidity at times of shedding may be difficult due to all the holes in the fauns lid :)

Thanks for all your replies, just woke up and had to check out the snake...its like having a new baby in the house lol.
After doing my homework and asking (probably to many questions on here lol) I have printed and laminated a background a bit like what you would use on a small fish tank. Cut it to size and wrapped it around the faunarium on 3 sides, so blocked some of the air holes also making it a bit more private/dark for the snake. This took me 2 hours last weekend ha ha ha. The front and top air holes of the faun is still clear so he can still get enought air dont worry! The temp is static at 33 degrees. He has a water bowl in there but to tell you the truth we have a 2 ft viv flat packed so if all goes pear shaped hubs will build it up and pop Odin in there in his faun. Might source out a bulb and gaurd this weekend just in case.

I know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok, they know me in here.

nice one and congrats.

I had 2 royals in fauns had no issues with the temps nor humidity during shedding periods.
