I have just come away from speaking to my vets about Peanut, and her diagnosis is IBD, he has no RI, his guts are clear, but she said that she thinks that it is neurological and sometimes with IBD in the early stages they can have problems with digestion and gas in his belly, i dont know you tell me, but she caught him stargazing twice at the weekend. She thinks this started probably from his first owner, We have to wait for the next thirty days, and watch what happens to him.

I am so gutted that i might lose him, he is only 9 months old, can she be wrong, can the stargazing and stuff be something else?

Just got back from the vets who is really pleased with Peanuts progress, we have one more week of Baytril and F10 as he is still slightly crackly, then hopefully that will be it...

I am so chuffed especially as he fed today;-)

lol..he fed i think it was Tuesday, and he has been out looking for more, i only offered him a small rat pup to tide him over, i will feed him again once this crackle has gone and then hopefully we can get him back to normal eating again and putting some weight on.

Its great that he's eaten even if it is just a pup.

Glad to hear it. Seems he's on the road to recovery!

had to take Peanut back to the vets tonight, he was doing the mouth open stuff when i was about to give him his F10 earlier, was lucky that Steve was there... so we have another ten days of Baytril and continue with the F10...i am gutted, not sure why this has surfaced again or maybe it had not totally cleared, well obviously it had not..so off we go again, the only problem is it is hard to do the meds and feed him cos i have to give him 48 hours without meds after a feed...i am gutted for him.

well after a conversation with GP last night, i got Peanut out this morning, and there is no sign of open mouth or anything, so i am now of the opinion that as GP said he might of inhaled as i was dropping the F10 onto his nostril and for a few moments he could not get his breath..

He seems to me to be fine again this morning, so maybe it was the F10, so i will keep an eye on him...cos i know the Baytril would not stop it after one dose...

Now i feel a right plonker
