Hey everybody, as u know i've been away for 18 days. i have waited three days for Blitz to come out of his big hid to see him because i didn't want to bother him. Yesterday he showed up and i noticed that there's a litlle bit shed skin left on his neck. what should i do first ? 1- try to feed him or 2- get him out of the viv to check if the shed was good ? |

They normally drop a bit of weight when they shed so probably needs a clean out anyway. no harm in a quick check and feed later on or tomorrow, |

I'm just little bit worry because Blitz didn't eat with me in 5 months and just take his first 18 days. (the only one) so i'm afraid if i did something wrong he'll go back to his fast :P anyway, thank u for the advice. |

Yeah, a tiny bit of shed's nothing to worry about, as long as his eyecaps and tailtip are off, and I'd definitely check for any snake mess and get the shed out before feeding, as you don't want to leave mess in there while he's feeding, or disturb him after a feed and you can check on the shed without having to handle him. Then if you leave him twenty four hours before feeding, he should be fine.
I bet he's pleased to have you back. |
