Part of the fun of keeping snakes for me is building vivs.
In may I moved into a bigger apartment (right before splitting up with my bf ;-)) where I have a nice room just for my snakes.
For the royals I built a 3 viv tower, length of each viv is 4.6 feet, depth and heigth are each 2.13 feet. I did everything by myself, including sawing, assembling, building of walls.
Royals are doing great, my Pied started to feed right away after having refused to eat in a RUB for 3 months ;-).
All three vivs have slightly different designs, bottom one is stone grey, for example.

Good God!
I think your snakes must love you back! That makes me want to build a mansion including swimming pool for mine
Agreed Kelfezond, after seeing this, a couple of plants and a log don't seem to cut it do they? |

Thank you, too! :-D
Boomslang: most of the plants are doing fine, I use a lot of them in my vivs. And if one gets killed eventually, I just replace it :-) Didnīt have to do it in the royal vivs yet.
Bob: I put some stuff on the polystyrol-walls, which we use for sealing wet places (like showers) before putting tiles on. Itīs a little like tile-glue, but contains Epoxyde-resine, which makes it waterproof and a little elastic. And then I simply paint it (snake friendly paint of course). |

Ok, I found another pic of the viv I was talkin about (white one), hope itīs alright to post it, just to give you an idea how my first projects looked like. Left bottom viv is for Brazilian, others for corns. They are 5 feet long. |

Well, for basic light I use a couple of these (donīt know if you have them as well): http://www.ikea.com/de/de/catalog/products/90143448/
And from 9 to 4 (in summer) there is a halogen spot in each viv, as sun spot, Iīm using different ones there. |
