Now there is a point Daz. I only thought of that a few days ago when I threw away another rat. She is so active at the moment though, since she shed. It is the most active that i have seen her. |

One of my Fires hasn't eaten for a couple of weeks now. I don't think of it as a problem though, just one of those things. |

Its so easy to say, but until you've done it a few times it can be very stressful to an owner, especially a new one.

it's all the males Mulv!! they're all thinking about girls but there's only one girl that's breeding size and age. i'm going to rethink my viv arrangements soon and move the non-breeding boys into another room so they can't smell the girls, that should get them feeding again.
Queenie is just being awkward because i gave him black mice (and why they were more easily hidden in the orchid bark substrate till a full clean out)
and the baby Dum, well, i'm getting worried, he's 515g but you can feel his ribs when he moves through your hands. handling is a bare minimum though. |

YEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!! im out (for now). The oh got the food out of the freezer for me earlier and got a large mouse (thought it was a weaner)and a small weaner out instead instead of 2 weaners, anyway thought i would leave him in the viv rather than disturb him.Gave him the mouse for a starter and the weaner for main coarse and he couldnt eat em quick enough.pic in the photo section. |

I have yet to go this route with Peanut, the only time he never fed was when he was ill, so i have this to look forward to....
Do they normally only do this as or when they are sexually mature? |
