| hi got baby royal python we got her last sunday,shes 3 months old,but she refuses food she fed 2 weeks ago at reptile shop but wont for us we offer her rat pups,also how long should i keep the rat pup in the virarium. |

| You've had her less than a week, I'm not surprised she hasn't eaten yet. I wouldn't even offer until she'd had at least a week to settle in personally. |

well for the first time ever Peanut refused a feed tonight...
but i did drop the rat on his head..
it fell off the tongs..
i have left it in there, but i had a feeling he would not feed..before i dropped the rat...
so i am hoping it wont put him off for long..
he can wait a week now till his next feed and hope he will be ok, i know a week is nothing, but there are some other things that might add to it, hope not but we will see... |

Well Sherman is back out of the club again. He was in shed when he last refused. Must have been the very early stages when he refused. The one he hit the other night had its eyes bulging he was constricting it so hard. Gonna have to go get some rat pups for The Hoff again. Got told he was taking mice but in the time I've had him he has taken two rat pups but shown no interest in mice. Awkward little sod  . |

Gladyssss has to become a member of the non feeding club I'm afraid, she hasnt eaten now since May 27th. She was pre shed then and after shedding thought she would return to her normal eating habits which was once every five days small rat.
BUT.....no she hasnt fed and isnt remotely interested when offered.
Feeding time for the Kelso on Tuesday who is settling in really well and striking for his food as soon as it enters the rub, so will try Gladyssss again then....dont hold much hope though. |

| Ok, Gladysss has shed her skin and so I thought....she's gonna be starving - defrosted rat fed all the others apart from albino - still settling in... But no she didnt want it. Its nearly two months now and she isnt at all bothered. |

Yes she has lost a little weight, but nothing drastic about 30grams.
Anyway, good news today, I got the mice/rats out today to feed the brood and decided to leave Gladysss for 7 days instead of the usual 5.
I put them ontop of her viv (as I usually do to) to defrost and went out.
On returning i caught her stretching up to the top of the viv having a good sniff around. When she realised I was there she coiled up and went to sleep in her cave.
I fed the rest of the brood, and as Ziggy the albino refused his mouse, thought I would try Gladyss with it.
She took it straight away. Hooray!!!
I know she is on small rats, but I was just releived that she has actually had something.
I'm not leaving this thread yet, as we have yet to see if she will take her rat in 5 days time.
If she doesent at least I wont be so worried as she has had somthing. |

Oscar is in, refused 2 feeds now...
not sure what is going on with him....
picking up some frozen multis Wednesday so will try him in ten days time... |

Gladysss refused rat again last night, although she did show an interest.....but eat small mouse!!!
Me finks she's pulling a fast one and wants chocolate not vegatables!!!!!
Will try next week downsizing her rats to see if its the size thats putting her off - coz she hasnt eaten for so long - OR she just wants to go back on mice.
