Hell, yes, I do carpentry in the living room (known to estate agents as 'the lounge.')

During the spring gardening season I've been known to stack sacks of potting compost in here (makes a useful coffee table lol.)

I mean, what are houses FOR?

As long as there's space for a bed and chair and laptop, DIY and the zoo reign supreme!

I think that wood looks gorgeous. What is it? And, what wood can you leave 'au naturale' safely?

Still lots to learn.

You can dry out and leave the bark on all woods that are safe for reptiles, its just not as easy to keep clean and clean in the first place. This is sycamore, the neighbour got annoyed with the tree brushing against his bedroom window so cut big chunks out of it, I kindly went in and took the best bits before he took the rest to the tip.

Nice work. What type of wood is it. I have heard apple trees are ok and next door have one that's hanging over my fence. Time to get the saw out?

OK Finished for now, I';ve tried to slice both thumbs off and 2 fingers, my hands are in tatters. What do you all think? I'm so pleased its been worth the blood, blood, blood, sweat and tears.

And a sneaky preview of where it will all be living in a week or so.

(there are a few other smaller bits for decor but my hands are in such a mess I may just leave it for later).
