how long do i leave the rat in there if he wont eat it please ? he started to eat it then stopped :S

You can leave it overnight but dont worry if he doesn't week, it took Duke 3 weeks before he would eat after moving and I canrt handle him the same day as feeding either or he will refuse it. You may learn that royals can be a bit fussy about feeding, there is a knack to get them to feed its just a case of finding out the best way, if he started to eat and abandoned it, its likely he is just a bit nervous, leave him quiet overnight and it may just be gone by morning.

thats great thanks shall do that and i hope its gone by morning, f not though do i throw it out and try again next week as im worried it will smell x

By morning it will hum a bit so just turf it in the bin, I used dog poo bags to wrap them too so they dont stink out the wheelie bin too.
