I know this is a difficult question to answer but thought I would ask anyway!
What size hide would an average adult male need? |

Any size - as long as it's a snug fit without him lifting it off the floor. Royals like to be a little cramped in a hide; it makes them feel secure. |

Yep imagine rolling your snake into a ball and then squashing it down a bit into a burger shape, If you can get a hide that size inside its perfect. I use a large exoterra hide with Duke who is 4 foot and 1200+grams and its snug but he shuffles right into the back of it where its narrower. The medium was far too small.
Large Exoterra, you can see Duke shuffled back
Medium Exoterra, too small, bit of over spill.
Lift the hide and Duke perfectly demonstrating the snake burger position.

For my two adults I just have some very large bits of bark for them to use as hides. |
