I reduced my Slinky down to being fed every 7 days and I think he was starting to get too fat, at his weight over 440g..odd tho as he's still on small mice lol tho only 3 left then on to mediums.
Thanks, Gimli is looking scruffy, but still a cheeky boy..he's slowed down a good bit..he's getting fat too LOL. He really must chase down his own crickets and not wait for me to hold the tub for him. |

Well today (19/02/2012) is Fea feeding day on his 2nd large mouse, ..he came out for an hour, took his mouse and now he's curled up atop his plant :)

Fea took his Large mouse and swallowed nose first as always. He is due a shed but no sign yet. Awkward but sweet as when i was trying to put him in his feeding tup..that tail wrapped around my wrist so had to unwrap him while he nosed at my fingers with mouse in the air lol

Slinky's eyes look a little sticky so I think he's going into shed mode..grr I had bought Fea a lovely big moss box (log effect) and moss so Slinky the lil monster has first dibs lol

11am Fea fed large mouse feed #16
3pm Slinky fed the last medium mouse #19 next feed will be a large |

Fea shed but not cleanly, he was curled up in his moss box with bags of old skin left on him. I took him out and he wriggled, and I watched as he slithered up my arm leaving a sock of shed behind him. Trouble is his head and neck hadn't loosened and remained.
I added more moss and he returned to it last night, I havn't checked yet, will update when I know.
Update, well looks like he managed..he's out on hubby for walkies..feeding day today |

Fea ate a large mouse #17, but I didn't think he would. For the first time he just didn't seem interested, he struck but then laid for 40 mins with his chin resting on the mouse. It wasn't until I lifted the rodent by its tail and waved it that Fea restruck and wrapped 3 times that he actually swallowed it.

Sounds like a Boa feeding to me, Sanke really plays with her meal biting at it, running round it, throwing it about.
Good progress with them both though.
PS you need to post some pics of Bert and Popeye I dont think you've shared those before. (I you have I missed it lol) |

Thanks Rob :) What worried me was that he didn't play with his mouse, he just used it as a pillow lol
