Bit of a newbie question but I'm going to ask it anyway! What's the best thing to feed royals on? Our wee boy had a fluff when we first got him, didn't feed for four weeks, then had a fuzzy on Saturday last week. I've read several posts on various forums saying rats are better for nutrition than mice but I'm intrigued to ask opinions. Embarrassed to admit we never found out how old our snake is, but he's just over a foot long

I'm gonna say rats but not from a nutrition point (though as said before Royals grow faster on rats) but a fully grown royal needs more than the biggest mouse available in a meal so rats are a better option because some Royals get 'hooked' on mice.
