Here's my first video of Princess eating, the quality's not the best as it was shot on my mobile.

Thanks. That strike did look a bit slower than her last two unless I'm just getting used to it, I didn't even jump that time!

Nice strike and constriction, does she always take that long before striking?

My royal is like on the case as soon as he smells dinner, you tried sort of puppeteering the prey up and down the viv a bit? I think it makes mine a bit more determined if you see what I mean.

Hi Mulv

This is only her third feed with us so it's still early days, but the first two strikes she waited a while first too. From speaking to the guy in the shop when I called in for some supplies, he prefers to just leave the food in the viv rather than for them to strike, so she may just not be used to strike feeding. You can't really tell from the video, but she did show interest very quickly it just took her a while to actually strike.

We are hoping that she'll continue to strike, next time I may try moving the food around a bit more and see if she goes any sooner. TBH though, I'm happy as long as she scoffs it!

I didn't video it this time, but she fed again on Saturday. This time she struck almost immediately and the mouse was gone in a couple of minutes, she really walloped it down. We've still got a few mice left, so I'm going to get her a rat and put it in with them for a bit to pick up the smell and see if she'll take it.

Hopefully bigger prey will result in a poo. Not that I particularly want the poo, but it'd be nice to know that she works properly.
