What is my local pet shop going on about
I went to buy aspen bedding and they aspen isn't good for royals because they need hight humidity and aspen goes moldy if you spray it and you would be changing the bedding every couple of days |

Shops eh? I can't take them seriously. (Unless it's a really good shop, and sadly they're few and far between.)
If you like aspen, then ignore them and stick to aspen - my royals do well on it, same as loads of others on this forum. |

Yes as BATS says just ignore them they probably have a promotion on something else so they want to sell that instead lol I've got two of mine on aspen and they are fine the only thing I don't like about it is when it comes to feeding, but thats the same for most types of bedding |

my loki is on aspen and it does not go mouldy. You do have to change it but only as much as you would change anything else. |

Spraying any substrate isn't a good idea. They are right it does mould quicker than orchid bark for instance but if you aren't spraying it then there is no problem. |

Aspen for Oscar too and if you keep the viv clean, it's not going to get chance to go mouldy. |
