It was Kane's feeding day today and after the worry of swallowing substrate I started feeding in a separate tub but today he was hunting around his viv and I'd been handling and warmed the rat up in the same room so i didnt fancy trying to get him out and risk a feeding response bite so i put kitchen roll down but he didnt eat on the floor of his viv...
He was in his tree and i thought if i hold it far enough away from him he'll come down for it but no, he struck from the tree and ate while he was still wrapped around it...
I think he wanted more, normally he goes back into hiding as soon as he's finished, today he didnt he kept going round his viv again eyeing me up! He made me jumped though, I had my hands in changing his bulb while he was eating then all of a sudden his head appears next to my hand with an empty mouth and I jumped out my skin and fell backwards!! Lol while he looked at me all smug!

Lol - that would've made me jump too! I'll never forget how Shahi 'trained' me to lift him up on to his branch every time before I offered him his rat - until the day when the warmth of my hand proved too much for him; he forgot to wait for ratty and nommed down on my fingers - ouch!
